Boone, I just signed on to your blog, and I see that you had to bring Ryder into this situation, as pointed out by some posters. You have now deleted your reference, so I have no idea what you had to say. But from what I know of how negatively you feel about Ryder, I can imagine that it was not nice. In almost every single blog, and Pod Cast, since HIO began, you have always made snide and derogatory comments about Ryder. Why can't you just leave him alone, and move on to someone else. Thank God he will soon be playing elsewhere. You should try to behave in a professional manner, just as Ryder has in this very trying year for him.
Seems like a lot of trouble to get a lady's number.
This all looks bad for Tom The Bomb and OB but at least they didn't expose their penises and have pictures of them plastered onto the internet like a certain laff rookie player had done to him late last year LOL!!

Actually Mike, I'm pretty sure that being a drunken lout is a behaviour perfected at schools of higher education.

Some pretty amusing posts here in this thread. Here's my take:
I feel a bit better now knowing that this happened at a team-outing like the rookie dinner.
I agree with the others that this will blow over and OB will never hear the end of this. I also think that this kind of stuff actually helps with team chemistry and team-building. This year's team seems to be having much more fun than past years' teams. The congratulatory "face-washes" that occur after goals is a sign of this fun, loose, jovial spirit.
Nevertheless, Kostopoulos and OB will sit in the press box for two games and they will feel shame...and then they will be free.
Doesn't OB realize that Canadian money is worth more? He'd have been better off purse-snatching in Toronto than in Tampa.
It's my worst fear come true: We've turned into the Cincinnati Bengals.

$100 says the purse really belongs to Patrice Brisebois. "Hold this OB, I have to go give away my number..."
The alcohol had everything to do with it. I don't believe he stole the purse. I really do not think there was any ill will intended. He was drunk and whether he was was trying to be cute or clever in front of his friends, this prank, or whatever, escalated out of control.
Speaking of alcohol what were Tenders, Price and SK74 doing? They are twenty and are underage. Management should explain that any rookie funded parties have to comply with the law in terms of drinking. I am assuming these three were drinking cokes. Yea right!
Maybe Carbo should call up O'Bryn's mom and dad.

legal drinking age in quebec is 18. The habs probably abide with quebec laws and let the alcohol issue slide with the 20 year olds.
There's no reports either of those 3 were at the club O'Byrne and Kostopolous were at. The rookie dinner is just that... a meal. Whether they got served alcohol at that I don't know, but as far as I can tell, those 3 weren't at this incident which occured well after the rookie dinner would've wrapped up.
You have to think this will be a running gag with O'Byrne for a while to come. Who wants to bet he is going to finding purses in his locker for a while to come?
This will blow over, for sure.
