Audio: Theodore, Boudreau and Carbo

posted by Pat Hickey at 15h35 EST on Nov 27

Checking in from Washington with voices to set up Friday's game, which will see Jaroslav Halak in goal for the Canadiens. Expect Carey Price between the pipes Saturday vs. Buffalo in Montreal.

Alex Tanguay, Josh Gorges and Alex Kovalev, who took a therapy day today, are expected to play tomorrow.

José Theodore gets the start for Washington. The last time Theo faced the Canadiens was Oct. 21, 2006 at the Bell Centre, eight months after he'd been traded to Colorado. The Avalanche raced to a 3-0 lead and led 4-3 going into third period. Then Theodore gave up five goals in 30 minutes and the Canadiens won 8-5.

• Capitals goalie José Theodore

• Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau on his rookie defencemen and on Alexander Ovechkin

• Canadiens head coach Guy Carbonneau

"The Avalanche raced to a 3-0 lead and led 4-3 going into third period. Then Theodore gave up five goals in 30 minutes and the Canadiens won 8-5." One word: hilarious. ---------- "We all wore the same costume as Maurice Richard did; the red-white-and-blue costume of the Montréal Canadiens, the best hockey team in the world." - Roch Carrier

carbo is a funny guy. he is just toying with the reporters and they don't get it. something abt gorges' pinky!

Ottawa just placed D man luke Richardson on waivers. Could he help the habs? Might be worth it, considering we wouldn't have to give up a player to get him. Anybody have any info on Richardson?

Old, slow and beat up. When I think of Luke Richardson, I think an old plow horse ready for the glue factory. "Another mule kickin' in my stall" McKinley Morganfield

The Washington Capitals request bailout from the farm. I hope we have enough healthy bodies.

Theodore has improved somewhat since the beginning of the season but he still lets in a lot of soft goals - I thought (and still think) that the Caps made a big mistake picking him up. My husband's name for him remains appropriate (and hopefully will tonight, LOL): Jose Three-or-More. :-) Lesley

Hi folks - Hubs and I were at the Caps game last night and also have Hershey (Caps' AHL affiliate) season tickets... despite the short notice of the callups, the four additions to the squad looked plenty sharp. I'm first and foremost a Habs fan, so I'm hoping they come into the Phone Booth and kick some tail, but I'd advise against taking the Caps lightly even with the massive number of injuries. The players that were called up are super talented and, given that Hershey and Washington run similar systems, there's not a lot of learning curve other than the faster pace of the NHL. At any rate, I'll be there wearing Habs gear loud and proud and rooting le Canadien on! Lesley

Yes, you too! :-) I've been honked at and gestured at in Philly (I live in central PA, thankfully) - I would imagine you've had a similar experience?

the difficulties here are containing Kozlov the giant scoring machine and we don't have Komi to hit Greedchkin...but I'm sure Markov will take the challenge.

I know they beat Atlanta last night, (or was that Ovechkin who won that game:-) but Washington has 8 regulars out of the lineup. It certainly presents itself as a window of opportunity to take two points tomorrow night. I'm not counting my chickens, I'm just sayin'...... Going For The Brass Ring - 25 Cups In 100 Years
