Game 55: Canadiens land with a thud in Edmonton

Carey Price looked totally out of it on this night. He was way out of position on three of the first four Edmonton goals, which were essentially scored into an empty net. He didn't look any better in the second as the Oilers added two more goals, including one shorthanded. The Canadiens have allowed three shorthanded goals in the two games on their road trip so far.
Price allowed seven goals on only 27 shots. That is just not good enough. The Canadiens also committed 21 turnovers through two periods.
At the other end, Dwayne Roloson was solid when he had to be, stopping 36 of 38 shots.
The Oilers were 3-for-7 on the power play, while the Canadiens went 0-for-7.
This was the fourth straight loss for the Canadiens, who have lost nine of their last 11 games are run the risk of dropping out of the playoff picture by the time they conclude their six-game road trip.
In those nine losses, the team has been outscored 43-17 (add third period goals) and they have allowed five or more goals six times.
The Canadiens got goals from a defenceman turned forward, Mathieu Dandenault, and another blue-liner, Francis Bouillon. It was Bouillon's 100th NHL point.
The Oilers got goals from Sam Gagner, Zack Stortini, Andrew Gogliano, Ales Hemsky, Kyle Brodziak, Dustin Penner and Liam Reddox.
It doesn't get any easier for the Canadiens, who travel to Colorado to play the Avalanche on Friday and then visit Roberto Luongo and Mats Sundin in Vancouver on Sunday.
