Interesting reading here at The Hockey News: Tom Lynn, former assistant GM of the Minnesota Wild, offers this look at how a draft-day trade can make or break a team, and what goes on down on the floor during the first round.

In today's Gazette:

• Habs set sights on landing a big centre: Hickey
• Top prospects begin to live their dream: Stubbs
• Isles fans apply heat for Tavares: Hickey
• Babcock the obvious choice to lead Olympic team: Fisher

And a few things elsewhere:

• Trade winds blow through Montreal: Duhatschek
• Gainey's plate full, etc.: LeBrun
• Isles could shock with Duchene: Cox
• Long-deserved Olympic nod for Lemaire: Farber
• Prospects take hoopla in stride: Morreale

I still can't believe Philly gave up Lupul, Sbisa and two first picks for Pronger. I know Pronger's a beast, and has always been a broad street bully at heart, but Sbisa was a 2008 first round draft pick, and Pronger's only signed for one more year. Anyways, Sid and Geno better keep their heads up cause Pronger's gonna be throwin' dem bows.
