I know I am going against the grain here, but I like keeping the brothers apart - I am not sure why everyone even wants them together.
Cammy - Plekanec - Andrei were showing some serious chemistry, and they have a lot of potenial. Sergei and Gomez looked great together, and D'Agostini is enough of a sniper and grinder to fill in into Gionta comes back...which will give that line a legitamate sniper.
But why does everyone want the brothers together?? Its not like they are the Sedins, and they haven't done anything to wow anyone when they are together.
Leave them on seperate lines, it'll make everything better.

Those lines this past Friday night looked great on the ice. What do you think about this rumor of Souray and Cogliano coming to Montreal for the Kostitsyn brothers?
I actually didn't mind Souray when he played in Montreal. He had such a great shot from the point on the PP too. Although, he was not too strong in his zone I still think that we should get him back. I like the sound of this trade.
We have enough old, slow, injury prone d-man with inflated contracts..No thanks..
This team is starting to simmer the juices are flowing, the flavours are blending. The Return of Sergei "GTFO out of ma Grill" Kostistyn is step one, step two, reunite him on a line with Andrei The Lion Kostistyn and T. Pleks. We are injured hobbling, unsure of ourselves but we step forward with growing confidence, Priceberg is becoming more invincible with each passing game, Markov is in seclusion somewhere healing his wounded leg/heart. Our forwards are starting to learn to trust each other. Habs Prophecy will indeed come to pass if we have faith and, like the Habs, strive to reach our individual potentiality in our own lives.
Hey everyone, don't know if anyone read this, but apparently Sheldon Souray is on his way out of Edmonton and possibly back to Montreal. Please someone tell me this isn't true or add some positive insight to this speculation.........read below.

Once Markov and Gionta get back, we won't have enough cap space unless we give up in salary what we are taking on with Souray's contract.
Plus, why would he waive his no trade clause to come back to MTL when he rejected the Habs' offer that was worth more money than the Edmonton offer and for the same duration?
First of all, I'd love to have Souray Back on our team. He was a true leader when we needed him, always stood up for team mates and somehow got them pumped to play. Also his chemistry with Markov was amazing.
The only reason he took less money to go to Edmonton and not play with the Canadiens is because it was his home town, but if the oilers ask him to leave, that pretty much tells him he's not wanted anymore and would probably accept going back to montreal since he wanted to stay here if Edmonton didn't offer him a deal.
We'd still have to find a way around that salary cap though and trade a couple of players, primarly D, cause we have way too many.
Trade Spacek for Souray. Edmonton would save 1.6m/yr for next 3 yrs,and we'd get out of that horrendous contract for a force,when healthy. Also I'd like to keep the Kosti bros. apart,as in trade andrei and keep sergei.
Andrei and pick/prospect for Horton ?
Id love to see Souray back, I always thought it was a huge mistake letting him go in the first place. But i dont know if Montreal is really interested, dont we have enough D as it is.

Hi to all Habs/Inside Out members, My name is Devon Bailey.This is my first time posting a comment on this site. I always check 3-5 times a day and I figured it was time to create an account.
If our team plays the same they did on Friday night, we should not have a problem beating the hurting Flyers which is coming off a bad loss against the Caps. The Flyers may come out flying during the game to put a bad loss behind them. With a goalie who is coming off a great performance and a team that is inspired from the centennial celebrations Friday night, we should have our 14th victory of the season.

I agree that we shouldn't have a problem beating them. Everyone says they're looking to avenge their humiliating loss the other night but they lost due to disgruntled players, I believe and not lack of effort.
We know how much that hurt us last year, don't we?
I don't think you'll find too many people saying "we should have no trouble beating" anyone. have you been in a coma and just woke up from the '70's
Hi everyone, I just have a question regarding Gomez's contract. Does his contract have a equal cap hit for each season ( 7.3 mill a year around) or is it more frontloaded making the last couple years or so less of a hit?
I'm sure this has been discussed but I personally do not know and i'm quite curious.

The cap hit itself is equal for each season, as it is with every player's contract...it is the amount of his total contract averaged over the length of the contract. However, in terms of the actual salary paid to Gomez (different than his cap hit), it does decline over the years as previous posters indicated.

Howie this is gonna hurt but...he is actualy $8,000,000 per year until 2011,2012 then he is only 7.5million and in 2013,14 he drops to a maybe respectable 5mil, 4mil

No, that was done in November. They have a display of Olympic Medals in there now.
Still lots of Habs stuff to see, including the replica dressing room.

Some are getting impatient with the new Canadiens. But there has been games where I found we had a good system going even with injured players and still learning player, half of them coming from another team. I thought we heard many times we will need time to gel and the players are gelin'. Let's wait for few more games. End of this month we will know what type of team we have.
Seems to me someone is getting frustrated for not being able to get inside information for trade rumors. Spector has a respectable website reporting trade rumors...just a thought.
