About
Kevin Mio is a Montreal Gazette editor who grew up playing hockey, watching the Canadiens every chance he could on television and reading articles about the team by some of the people he works with today. He still remembers going to the Forum with his father to watch the Canadiens and was even fortunate enough to skate on Forum ice with his minor hockey team.
From Mats Naslund to Saku Koivu, he has always enjoyed watching the small, speedy and skilled players, while also admiring the gritty players that are essential to any team’s success.
From his one-on-one interviews with members of the team to a look at other coverage of the Canadiens, he will keep fans posted on their favourite team and looks forward to sharing his love of hockey with other passionate fans.
Share the agony and ecstasy of Habs fandom and read live blogs from every game with Gazette columnist Mike Boone.

haha, I got a picture taken next to the fan there
Thanks for the link Kevin, here's another clip from the same interview.

...He was my idol when I was a 5 year old sitting on the edge of My parents grey wool couch in front of Our black & white kicking out My legs in 'rapier-like fashion' in synchronicity with Jacques' every reflex as Gordie Howe or a Johnny Bucyk et al tried to dent Our twine ...loved and had full affinity to His iconoclastic persona ...His artistry ...His aura even greater to Myself than The Rocket as The Icon of Our Habs
...one of the most disappointing days of My life when Jacques was traded to the New York Rangers ...THE most disappointing day of My life hockeywise, was the day He donned a Turdranna MuppleWeed sweater
...yet, to THIS day ...Jacques Plante is My personal raison d'etre I am a Montreal Canadiens' Fan

...just an aside relevant to Carey Price today ...Joseph Jacques Omer 'Jake The Snake' Plante was born January 17th 1929 ...in those days there was no draft, and was not 'discovered' by the Habs and signed by Frank Selke until August 17th 1949 (...when Plante was almost 21 years old)
...Jacques Plante, in My eyes The Greatest Goalie That Ever Lived, did not make Our Habs as a Number One goalie until the 1954-55 season ...at approximately 25 years old
...so please, Ye Whom eat Your own Young, ...reign in Your sharp knives and claws ...and give Carey Price your patience to develop the potential He DOES have
...PS: edit to My first post above ...typo, My age when I first watched Jacques Plante play would be around when I was 8 years old, not 5 (...as IF You care :)

Who the hell is that guy in the background, Mr. Bean !!!
Go Habs Go !!
He looks very cartoonish, dosen't he?
That picture was taken in the Forum. I don’t if you’ve been but they have a Habs logo exactly where center ice used to be and some of the stands remaining. The guy in the back ground is a statue representing a fan from yesteryear. They also have a statue of the Rocket sitting on the bench
Great work Todd. Can't wait to meet you again and have another round of drinks. Cheers mate.
No its actully gone a 180 not a 360, 360 would be if goaltenders stopped wearing masks again.
lol!!
