It's all a crap shoot but let's play along for the fun of it. Washington would have to be a lock to defeat Florida on Saturday, especially seeing that the Panthers played the night before. With Ottawa's circumstance, it's certainly not a stretch to see the Bruins beating them tonight. (Bruins also play Buffalo on Saturday). Carolina should be able to handle Florida tonight. If so, that means we have four teams tied with 94 points. Carolina gets seeded and Washington would be 6th with Ottawa 7th and Boston 8th. Of course that leaves the Flyers' two games as well as Buffalo-Boston. These combatants would have to win all three games to dislodge Washington from 6th. What's my point? I'm not sure anymore with all these bloody variables but if things unfold as I would like them to, it means that we will not have to face Washington in the first round. Tomorrow's 'Countdown to the Cup' should be a lot easier to figure out!
Take a look at Washington. They've won like 58 games in a row and now they have Huet. I think we can beat anyone, but that team got hot at the right time. Maybe first isn't worth it...
Also... Anybody taking bets on who finishes last? Tampa sure is giving it their best shot to do so. http://habsbros.blogspot.com/

What needs to happen for us to face Ottawa in the first round? THAT would be fun!
It would make my year if Ottawa does not make the playoff
And they fired their first coach when they were winning!
