Playoff Pool Update

Now that the first games of the 2nd round have been played, the Inside/Out playoff pool standings are starting to spread out. With most fantasy teams losing about 4 players from their 20-man roster, those with intact rosters have a great chance to take a commanding lead or, at the very least, catch up.

Today's leader: dysonsphere (126 points)



Dysonsphere and PPQB are a couple points ahead of the pack and are in decent shape with 16 and 15 players still active, respectively. Nineteen fantasy teams still have full rosters and could really distinguish themselves in the next couple of weeks. Watch out for big moves from: rogus, ebk, teamplayer, arcosenate, bigdab, dicktracy, kdmac1, Lurker Girl, and The Habit, among others.

kRob - one point for a win and one point for a shutout. Chris A-T needs to make a call on whether or not goalie assists (or goals!) will count as points.

No offense Rob, but ebk has us both beat. It also looks like the magic is over for your Colorado underdogs.

ebk - Well, you've got me beat no matter which teams advance. I thought about Rafalski and Holmstrom but took Getzlaf and Pronger to cover more bases. You also have Cheechoo whereas I took Ovechkin. I also had Malone on my list and dropped him at the last second. I have Jagr instead of Andrei K. Well done Earl!

By the way, I don't see Dave Stubbs or Mike Boone's name on the leaderboard. Next year we should have their lists (along with Chris') made public so we can see how we do up against the "experts". It would sort of be like one of those carny games where you throw a ball and try and knock the 'celebrity' into the tub of water. Only in this situation we would substitute beer for water:-)
