Any ideas for a parade route?
Using a roster consisting primarily of Pittsburgh and Detroit players, Taxman (281) built a strong lead over Robert L (265), 24 Cups (261), and ebk (261). While Taxman distinguished himself with a winning 16-point margin, the main pack was ferociously close. A point or two could have moved a fantasy team up several positions in the standings – from middle of the field to striking distance of the Top 10.
Many users made (what seemed to be) really great picks, but as it happens in the playoffs, there were many surprise busts and a few unlikely heroes. Popular players like Mark Streit and Chris Drury struggled to produce offensively and teams like San Jose didn’t meet post-season expectations (again).
No matter where you finished in the standings, whether on the leader board or off: congratulations. Fantasy pools are notoriously difficult and incredibly frustrating because of all the unknowns that can effect both individual players and entire teams, and being able to predict performance is close to impossible. Unless, of course, you’re Taxman.
With this victory, Taxman has earned more than just bragging rights, but also our everlasting respect. Everlasting, that is, until next season.
Congratulations Taxman! Savour the moment and enjoy the praise from your fellow – and much humbled – Inside/Outers.

Chris - Thanks for all the time and effort that you put into making this year's playoff draft such a rousing success. Your posts "From The Blues" have been greatly appreciated throughout the year. All the best with your summer holidays and endeavours.
Steve
No matter what, the Taxman always wins. :)
Congrats!

Congratulation Taxman.
Congrat's Taxman, nice picks! Until next year.
Taxman, here is how my 6 Habs picks differed with yours.
Marleau 8 / A Kostitsyn 8
Sykora 9 / Plekanec 9
Malone 16 / Kovalev 11
Michalek 4 / Higgins 5
Whitney 6 / Markov 4
Fleury 14 / Price 5
The 6 players we chose that were different garnered you a total of 57 points, while mine earned 41.
Had the Habs just lasted one more round....
Looks like I may have had a slightly better points per game ratio. Are there any bragging rights allowed for that?
Chris - much thanks for keeping this up during the playoffs and putting in all the work involved. Are there any chances that there could be a regular season pool as well?
Chris....buddy, pal, I'll slip you a $20 if you list me in front of 24cups. Deal or No Deal!
ps
great job taxman and thanks chris
ebk - Come on now Earl, it's just like in 1892 when Virginia O'Hanlon wrote the New York Sun concerning the authenticity of Santa. Her Papa stated, "if you see it in The Sun, it's so." Same notion applies here. The Gazette has listed my name in third place while your moniker holds down fourth spot:-)
Try to think of it in terms of a Canadian federal election. It's just another case of Central Canada outwitting the Prairie provinces!
The Original 24 Cups
Steve, I guess you are right.
on the federal election front, the reason the west is supposedly under-represented is that we have a hard time finding people who want to live out east. The people we do, seem to be a little addle-minded. I guess on a positve side, it allows them to fit in quite nicely.
