With their last pick of the NHL entry draft, 206th overall, the Canadiens selected another U.S. forward, Patrick Johnson. He is a centre from the University of Wisconsin listed at 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds.
This is "Badger" Bob Johnson's grandson. He was Pittsburgh's head coach for the 1991 Stanley Cup before he succumbed to brain cancer in the following offseason.
Patrick's dad is former 1980 US Olympian Mark Johnson, who runs the Women's hockey program at Wisconsin.
Gainey cannot sign both Hossa and Sundin. Especially now that Tanguay is here. Getting negotiating rights to Hossa would not allow Bob to sign both and if Sundin doesn't know this his agent will. Not enough cap space for starters. The short term deal with Sundin is more appealing to Bob at this point in time.

5'9 - 155! He'll get splattered all over the boards.
5-9, 155...sounds a lot like Pierre Mondou
"It's a good day for hockey."

Like they kept saying last night: It's the new NHL. Hell, they were plucking D men that size in the first round. See Ottawa.

These guys are only 17-18.. they still have a good few inches left to grow into..

No were alright on the D, we still have Brisbois here.
