Buffalo has signed Paul Gaustad to a four year contract worth $9.2 million. Gaustad made $750,000 last season and would have become a RFA tomorrow.
• Detroit has signed Andreas Lilja to a two-year contract at $2.5 million per – a raise of $1.5 million over what he was making. Lilja was eligible to become a UFA tomorrow.
