From the 'in case anyone cares' file

Former Canadiens prospect Corey Locke, who had a few short stints with the big club but was essentially a Hamilton Bulldog for his four professional hockey seasons to date, has been reassigned by the Minnesota Wild.

Locke was acquired by the Wild from the Canadiens this summer in return for defencemen Shawn Belle.

I care as well!
You ain't a Habs fan if you don't care about the Bulldogs!
This guy was one of the key guys in the Bulldogs wiinning the Calder Cup in 2007!
I wish Corey well as other players in the past such as Andrew Archer, Duncan Milroy, Ajay Baines, etc. who wore the jersey the Hamilton Bulldogs with pride and were not able to crack the lineup of the Habs!
I will never forget when they clinched the Calder Cup in Hamilton against the Hershey Bears in 2007. I was there and it was magic!
As far as I am concerned they are part of the Habs family and we should never forget about them as well.

"We will win the Cup only with Carey Price in the nets"

Don't forget Yann Danis...The guy had a tough break in Montreal!

Best of luck to him with the NYI.

C'mon, isn't Locke the leading scorer in Hamilton Bulldogs history?

We care!

By the way, I didn't hear much about Belle's camp. He played at least one exhibition game. Didn't seem like he made much of an impression. Hopefully he can help the Dogs.

CJAD guys liked him. Said he played a simple, safe defensive game. As they put it "I don't notice him on the ice, and for his game that is a good thing". Means he didn't screw up.

I wish the kid well, and I hope he makes the best of the opportunity/challenge.

That said- it confirms our development team's assessment of his potential. In general the talent assessment on our team has improved greatly- looking back over the past three or four seasons, I can only think of a single player whose stats improved markedly AFTER they were traded by the Habs- Ribeiro. We'll have to see about Huet... and Ryder, although recent reports out of beantown say that he isn't gelling with Savard... Rivet had a decent season with the Sharks, but a) I am happier with Gorges and b) who knows how he'll fit in Buffalo.

he has to go through waivers so maybe someone believes he can crack their lineup...

I also care. He may have only had that one courtesy game as a Hab, but that means Locke is part of the family. I don't know that he did any complaining or griping or anything to make us wish him ill. So just the opposite: as a past Hab, no matter how slender his claim, I wish him well.

Just not when playing against Montreal.

I care.
Seriously anything you guys post here automatically has a rating on my care factor.
