Game 2: That's more like it – Habs whip Leafs

• Sergei Kostitsyn joined the second power-play unit and scored twice while assisting on Tanguay's power-play goal.Â
"He's a player with great vision but I think the important thing tonight is that he shot the puck," said coach Guy Carbonneau. 'If we're going to score on the power play, we need people shooting the puck. Sergei and Guillaume Latendresse (a goal and two assists) are guys who can score on the power play. Guillaume has good hands and if he hangs around the net, he's going to score some goals."
Sergei Kostitsyn had seven of the Canadiens' 34 shots. Â
Nine different players collected points in the game wth Roman Hamrlik and Alex Kovalev adding the other goals.
• Jaroslav Halak was solid in goal. Some folks second-guessed Carbonneau for starting Halak after Carey Price played so well in the opener in Buffalo but the Slovak stopped 24 of 25 shots. Jason Blake scored the lone Toronto goal on a power play.
"I had some luck," said a modest Halak. "They hit four or five posts but all the posts were on our side tonight."
The win gives the Canadiens three of a possible four points on the road trip which concludes Monday in Philadelphia. Montreal will be looking for some revenge after losing to the Flyers in the second round of the playoffs last season. Â
