It's the All-Star break and the Canadiens have played more than half of their regular-season games, and there are some positive and negatie points for the team after 46 games. They are well positioned in the Eastern Conference, but some weaknesses are obvious - they seem incapable of beating teams they could face in the playoffs (think Boston, New Jersey, Carolina and Washington). On the positive side, the Canadiens have welcomed back some key injured players and will see more return to action soon, which gives coach Guy Carbonneau plenty of options to try and correct the problems.

In this week's PuckCast, Pat Hickey, Mike Boone and Kevin Mio discuss
the team's first half and look at what can be done to improve the team. They also look at the All-Star events in Montreal and what they all mean.

best quote of the podcast-"our goal scorers don't play tough and our tough players can't score". I don't think i have the exact quote though, but the meaning is the same.

In Toronto the rumours are always centered on the Leafs. What if Mr. Gainey could pick up Antropov and Kubina fairly cheap? Do you think they could help?

Antropov has size and goes to the net. He's pretty cheap right now I beleive but also UFA if I am correct.

Repost : Hey all, I don't know if what I'm about to do is against the site's rules... whoever is moderating please delete my post if it is. Here's the story : Last week I bought 4 tickets to the All-Star game weekend as I was almost sure that 2 of my friends wanted to go, and that I would easily find a ringer. Well... both my friends decided to go Mexico instead, so I'm now trying to get rid of my tickets. Problem is the tickets are expensive (315$ ea.) and not very well placed (412 A... Zone Molson Ex) so demand for them is pretty low. I would like to sell these ticket packages below cost... but I still can't find any buyers. My asking price is 250$ and the tickets include the game, the skills comp. and the saturday morning practice. If any of you guys are interested in going, or if you know anybody that is looking for tickets please PM me to let me know. Again, I'm sorry if this sales pitch is against the rules so please don't flame me! I'm running out of time and options to sell these!

To think how far we have come WITHOUT our star players.3 years ago we would have lost the season.I believe the second half will be great for the team.Have to see how much of a team chemistry is affected with the injured players are back.

"In this week's PuckCast, Pat Hickey, Mike Boone and Kevin Mio discuss the team's first half and look at what can be done to improve the team. Surely you mean "In this year's PuckCast...." :-) Also hilariously the onscreen player for this show on the PuckCast page points to something completely seasonal and different... very funny.
