Habitant in Surrey

an Ex-Montrealer, retired in British Columbia. Grew up since 1947 living & breathing the Habs. Plante (my ultimate Hab hero), Henri & Rocket, Guy Lafleur, Savard, Robinson, Bob Gainey and John Ferguson were/still are My favorites (confirming how old I am). Played goal in high school hockey with the sons of Harvey and Elmer Lach until I joined US Marines. Received My first ticket to the Montreal Forum to watch my heroes from John Ferguson when he, Terry Harper & Billy Hicke moved into my building when first called up from the AHL. The seat was behind a column, but still remains one of my most cherished memories of youth. Have followed my Habs from China, Indonesia, Australia to Africa. And, look forward to an exciting 2009/2010 season. I believe Bob Gainey tried His best this summer to bring Us players that WANTED to be here, despite over-paying Gomez. Our Bad Luck to begin the season and certain under-performing players may result in Us missing the playoffs. But life goes on ! Instead of 'middle of the pack' mediocrity, I prefer We now will have a chance of a possible High Draft Choice in July 2010. Will comment on other things when I have something to say, and that is the great thing about HIO; talking about My Favorite Team with other Habs' Fans If anybody out here on the west coast that would like to 'talk Habs', just drop a note.
