Eugene Crookes in London Ontario
About:
I immigrated to Southern Ontario heart of the Leaf nation at the age of thirteen in Oct.,1966 from Ireland and have been a very, proud Habs fan ever since. There are as many Habs Fans here in London as there are fans of Toronto or Detroit the past few years, but unfortunately the local media barely covers the Habs.
Below is a little ditty I wrote on the 16th anniversary of the Leaf's cup drought updated of course.
The Maple Leaf's Fans Lament(to the tune of Queens Another one bites the dust)
It's the Maple Leaf Fans' Lament
Another bloody year is spent
Maybe next year, Maybe next year,
It's the Maple Leaf's Fans' Lament
Another year bites the dust,Another year bites the dust,
Another one's gone, Another one's gone
Forty-two long years,
Without Lord Stanley's Cup (repeat first verse)
HI/O member for: 1 year 22 weeks
